Coca-Cola
in 1987 Rich bought a house on the Sebewaing River in Sebewaing, Michigan. This house was built in the early 1900's and featured beautiful woodwork, floors, and lead glass windows. It also had a large barn that was converted into a large garage.,
Rich's parents helped redecorate the house to restore it to a country charm look. The kitchen was narrow and had 1950 style wallpaper over grey brick. Rich's dad painted the brick white and Bunny stripped the wallpaper. The walls were painted blue. That meant there was a need for a "red" border between the white bricks and blue wall. Bunny found a roll of Coca-Cola themed red border and that started Rich's Coke collection.
Soon he wrote a letter to Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta to secure permission to paint "Coca-Cola" on the newly painted red barn. Coke granted him permission and soon Coke showed up all through the house.
One prize was a Coke vending machine - which now sits in daughter Rebecca's barn.
Over the years, the collection grew, until it filled a few rooms.
After Bunny died, Rich met and married Carol - an avid Pepsi drinker!
His collection soon diminished, but his love for all things Coca-Cola hasn't.
Every chance he gets, he like to visit Coke museums, displays, and takes pictures of interesting Coke things, even in foreign countries.
