Sage Turkey Stuffing
Ingredients:
Bread slices
Chopped onion
Chopped celery
Salt
Pepper
Poultry seasoning
Sage
Water
Milk
Optional:
Pork sausage - fried, drained and crumbled
Let bread slices sit out overnight to dry - for a 15 pound Turkey about 2 loaves of bread
Cube bread
Mix all ingredients in a large bowel.
Season to taste
For a 15 Lb Turkey we use:
1 small Onion
3 stalks of celery
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 1/2 tsp. sage
2 T. water
Add milk until bread sticks
Knead ingredients until bread forms a large ball.
Stuff into Turkey or bake in separate dish
Optional:
Add 3/4 Lb cooked, drained, crumbled sausage to mixture before kneading.
