Day 2: September 9, 2014
We had breakfast in our hotel and then headed out for the drive to Innsbruck, Austria.
In Innsbruck we took a walking tour of the old city where we had an opportunity to see the old buildings, grab a quick lunch and tour a church.
We gathered in the public park for our devotions. There we were able to give a witness as we sang hymns and read the Bible.
In the afternoon we drove to Neuschwanstein Castle.
We had to "storm the castle" on foot as we hiked up the hill.
We were able to tour the fabulous castle, a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival Palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner.
Walt Disney patterned his Fairy Castle at Disneyland after this castoe.
