Dead Tree
After Rich’s parents moved to Colorado, Rich would visit them.
They lived on a plot of land in rural Littleton that his father made into a "Funny Farm," complete with chickens, lambs, goats, a turkey, a horse, and various other animals. When Rich and the family would visit, he would drive to the mountains. He would take the back way from the house on Belleview Avenue to the town of Morrison. From there the family would usually visit Red Rocks Park, Golden, or Central City.
The drive took them by an elevated hill with one lone dead tree on top. Each time the family passed this tree; Rich was enchanted with its beauty. One day he decided to stop and take a picture.
Since then, the house on Belleview has changed, the dead tree cleared to make room for more housing, and the only reminder pf the beauty of the tree is this picture.
However, Rich continues to look for beautiful dead trees on his travels!
