Royal Gorge Railroad
The Royal Gorge Route Railroad was established in the late 1800’s and was discontinued in the mid 1900’s. Tourist passenger service was reestablished in the fall of 1998 and has become a premier destination attraction carrying over 100,000 guests through the Royal Gorge each year.
Starting at the Santa Fe railway depot in Canon City, Colorado, the train talks visitors along the Colorado River, through the Royal Gorge to Parkdale, Colorado, and returns.
