We flew through the night and arrived in Munich on the morning of September 8 – our first day in Germany.

- Home of Mozart
- Home of Lenin in early war time – he encouraged the Communist takeover and Munich became part of the Bavarian Soviet Republic
- Hitler spoke here in WW I
- From the Hofbrahaus Hitler staged a government overthrow but failed in what became known as the Beer Hall Putz
- The Koningsplatz was used by the Nazis for rallies and it was heavily damaged by 71 Allied air raids over the 5 years of the war.
