From Commercials to Interviews - the family has been on television
Nickel's Worth
Richard and Marjorie moved to 12175 W Belleview Avenue, Littleton, CO, in January, 1974.
This property was out in the country and they had a lot of land. Dad fenced in the land, built shelters and populated it with animals. Dad had always wanted a farm and this was his chance to have one. He named it "The Funny Farm," due to the variety of animals. His intent was to rasie animals for food, however, Mom Cohrs would have none of that. Since the property was next to a road where the school children would gather for the bus, he had many visitors to his "farm." The name "Funny Farm" gave way to the more appropriate title of Zoo as Mom and Dad were featured in a segment of the local news called, "Nickel's Worth." |
