Standing Rib Roast
Dad Williams was a butcher and owned his own meat market for many years. One of his specialties was a Standing Rib Roast.
Rub outside of roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Let sit until room temperature
Place roast into electric roasting pan with fat side up Place into a 500 degree oven for 20 minutes Remove and turn roast over so it is fat side down Replace in oven for 15 minutes Removes and put pan into electric roaster at 250 degrees. Pour about ¾ cup water into pan and add carrots. Let roast and carrots simmer for about 2 hours. Prepare baked potatoes and asparagus to serve with roast. Remove carrots and roast, slice roast and serve. |
