Country Cross
Rich and Bunny moved to Michigan in 1987, purchasing an old farm-type house on the Sebewaing River.
The house had undergone many renovations in its long history, from a single-family home to an upstairs apartment complete with its own outside entrance.
Over the years, the dining area became a home beauty shop and carpet had been laid over the floors.
Rich and Bunny started a 10-year renovation of the home – first pulling up all of the carpets, revealing beautiful oak floors, then scrapping and replacing layers of old wallpaper.
We strove for the county home look.
Rich also made the house functional as he renovated the upstairs apartment and returned it to bedrooms. He also enlarged the bath.
Over the years, family and friends would add to our country home collection.
One such addition was our Country Home Cross, reminding us of the days of country living on the banks of the Sebewaing River as well as the love of God seen on the empty cross.
