Jesus Cross
Carol graduated from Concordia University, Ann arbor, MI, in 1988. She majored in Business Administration with a minor in Religion. While she was taking one of her Religion courses she came across the verses from Deuteronomy 6:
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
She thought that perhaps she should have a symbol on her wall at home that proclaims God to all who enter.
Her brother, Rev. Gary Williams, happened to be in the process of learning woodworking. He made this cross and gave it to Carol shortly after she graduated.
Carol placed it in her dining room and now it hangs in our living room, as a reminder of the Word of God’s Grace through Jesus, our Savior.
