Treasure Ship Cross
By Christmas, 1970, Bunny and Rich had some extra money. They were shopping in the local department store when they came across a display of silver crosses. Rich read the inscription on the box and Bunny decided to purchase it for him.
Rich found a shadow box, painted it black and mounted the cross in it. A pop tab from a Coca-Cola can serves as the hanger.
The inscription reads:
Individually handcrafted exclusively from shipwrecked treasure of the "Nuestra Senora De Atocha" lost in 1622. No other metals used, .926 sterling - originally destined for King Philip IV - Now your present from the past. Signed: Jack Magne
